John Papageorgiou is an EU affairs reporter with over 30 years of experience in the media. Since 2012, John has been covering stories related to the Greek financial crisis. He has been hosting his own radio show for several radio stations in Greece since 1992. He currently hosts the morning news bulletin for the municipal radio of Athens and he maintains his own column on European affairs at insider.gr.

John is the founder (est. 2016) and head of “Athens Digest” and a contributor at Oxford Analytica. He is a member of the advisory board of the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP), the leading Greek think tank. He is also the founder of the Eudays.eu website, a platform dedicated to the history of the EU.

John has earned a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemistry from the University of Athens. He also holds a private college diploma in radio production.
